Diane Tribitt, Minnesota Cowgirl Poet

Diane Tribitt a remarkably gifted woman with roots that run deep in the soil of her Minnesota ranch. She is equally devoted to her family and the land that nurtures her soul. She brings that rich heritage, a wealth of knowledge, and a profound spirituality that comes from ranching on a daily basis, to her poetry and stories. More often than not her award winning poetry and stories are true, either experienced by Diane herself or someone close to her. Diane’s poetry will transport the listener on an engaging journey through the life of a working cowboy that will have you laughing one moment, riveted the next, and at some point wiping a tear away. An extraordinary writer and story teller, this soft spoken cowgirl burst onto the Cowboy Poetry scene and soared quickly to the top. Considered one of the premier ladies doing Cowboy Poetry today, it is quite obvious that it’s not just a story she is relating … it is the life she lives.

Diane was named the 14th Lariat Laureate at Coyboy Poetry, recognized for her poem “Half the Hand”. Diane’s book “Trail Mix” and her newest CD “Ranchin’ Rhymes” are available on her website. “Trail Mix” was the 2009 WMA Cowboy Poetry Book of the Year.

Diane also performs as a duo with Cowgirl True partner Belinda Gail.
